HICKORY, N.C. - Four three-set singles matches highlighted a tightly contested match, but it was the No. 10 University of North Georgia women's tennis team who claimed a 5-2 win over Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon.
L-R took the doubles point, winning two of the three matches.
Adrienne Bofinger and
Anna Marie Moller claimed a win at No. 3 for UNG, 6-2.
From there, North Georgia took over in singles play, winning matches 2-6.
Vaishali Jorge came from a set down to win in three at No. 2 singles as did
Anna Markvartova at No. 5. Claudelle Labonte Frey won a three set battle as well, 6-0, 2-6, 6-2.
North Georgia will have a quick turnaround as Catawba waits tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
