DAHLONEGA - After a tightly contested first half, Augusta found its rhythm from the floor to get past the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 92-65, Wednesday night in the Convocation Center.
The Jaguars and Nighthawks traded runs in the first half with North Georgia always seeming to get close but AU pull away until the final moments of the first half. UNG used a 12-0 run to tie the game up at 39-39 before the Jags made a bucket in the waning seconds of the period to take a slight lead into the break.
From there, Augusta got hot from the floor, starting the second half on a 17-2 run that gave the Jags the cushion needed to earn their seventh straight win.
NOTES
- Two Jaguars finished with double-doubles in Rafael Monteiro and Tyshaun Crawford, while a third AU player, Miguel Arnold, finished with 23 points.

Zach Brown led UNG in the scoring column with 19 points, while
Zez Steeple and
KJ Jenkins put up 16 and 13, respectively.
- North Georgia was just 4-for-24 from distance. The Jags were 11-of-19 from beyond the arc.
