DAHLONEGA - Trailing by 13 at the break, the University of North Georgia men's basketball team put both ends of the floor together in the second half, coupling an offensive explosion with defensive intensity to down Lander, 85-77.
The first 10 minutes of the game were tightly contested with the two teams trading buckets, but Lander would go on a 20-6 run over the final 10 minutes of the opening period to claim a double-digit lead headed to the locker room.
North Georgia's offense exploded in the second half, going off for 50 points while holding Lander to just 29, including going on a 22-12 run to close the game out and get back to .500 in league play.
