AIKEN, S.C. - Trailing 5-1 with three outs to go, the No. 20 University of North Georgia baseball team went on a one-out rally, scoring nine runs in the frame to earn the Peach Belt win over USC Aiken, 10-5, Friday night.
The Pacers got on the board first, scoring four unearned runs in the second inning off two UNG errors. USCA pushed their final run across in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly.
North Georgia answered for the first time in the sixth inning on a
Bill LeRoy RBI double. The scoring was quiet until the ninth inning when the Nighthawk offense finally exploded. UNG hit five straight singles, plating two runs before
Cole Yancey was hit by a pitch to walk in the third run and cut the lead to 5-4.
Crews Taylor then stepped in and mashed a grand slam to put UNG up, 8-5. A
Will Hardigree RBI double plated the final two runs of the game, both of which were unearned.

Beau Jones earned his first win of the season, throwing 1.2 innings of one hit baseball, fanning two Pacers along the way.
- LeRoy had the best day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI.
