ATHENS, Ga. - Eric Jones led the University of North Georgia men's basketball team with a game-high 19 points as the Nighthawks fell to Georgia, 84-62, Wednesday night inside Stegeman Coliseum. While UGA moved to 2-0 on the year, the game was the second exhibition contest for the Nighthawks this season.
 
North Georgia held an early 3-1 lead as they held Georgia to 0-for-7 from the floor on their first attempts of the game. After that point, however, the Bulldogs went on a 13-2 run over the next three minutes to take control of the game.
 
The lead for UGA hovered around 20 points for the majority of the game before a late 6-0 run stretched the margin to 30. The Nighthawks fought back to bring the game to its final score.
 
NOTES
- Jones finished shooting 6-for-9 from the floor, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the stripe. 
Blake McIntyre also ended in double figures with 11 off the bench.
 
- Three Bulldogs finished with double digit points, led by 19 from Toumani Camara.
 
- The Nighthawks turned UGA over 25 times, leading to 20 points.
