ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Georgia Southwestern scored the final four runs of the game as the No. 24 University of North Georgia baseball team fell, 4-2, to the Hurricanes Friday morning in the first pool play game of the Peach Belt Conference tournament.

Bill LeRoy to put the Nighthawks up, 2-0.
The Hurricanes answered in the third on a RBI triple and a RBI single to tie the game and took the lead in the seventh on a wild pitch and a passed ball. From there, PBC Pitcher of the Year Tucker Smith closed the door, finishing with a complete game win for GSW.

Steven Bower got a no decision as he went six innings, surrendering two runs off seven hits and six walks. He struck out seven 'Canes along the way.
- Clarno led the Nighthawks at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Chase Sudduth went 2-for-5 in the game.
- In the other Pool A matchup, Georgia College defeated Young Harris, 10-6, in 11 innings.
