DAHLONEGA - Jess Jones earned the only point of the match for the No. 14 University of North Georgia men's tennis team as they fell to No. 2 Columbus State, 6-1, Saturday afternoon.

Doubles was extremely competitive as all three matches were decided by at most one break. The Cougars clinched the point by sweeping the matches, but Ryan Gaskin and Hugues Renaud took their match at No. 2 doubles to a tiebreak.

The Cougars proceeded to clinch the match by taking the first three singles matches before Jones upset the No. 36 singles player in the nation in a three-set thriller after dropping the first set. 

North Georgia will look to bounce back tomorrow with a match against Georgia Southwestern at noon tomorrow. Senior Day festivities will take place before first serve at 11:45 a.m.
