COLUMBUS, Ga. - After winning the doubles point, the No. 12 University of North Georgia women's tennis team ran into a tough lineup of singles players as No. 7 Saint Leo won, 6-1, Saturday.
UNG won matches at No. 2 and 3 doubles with
Lexa Loden and
Cibeles Zuddy winning 6-4 while
Emma Etelalahti and
Adrienne Bofinger won, 6-3.
Singles action went in the way of the Lions, but the matches were very competitive. Two of the six matches needed a third set, while two more needed a tiebreak in one of the sets for the Lions to gain the advantage.
North Georgia will be back in action on Sunday, February 17, against Queens. First serve from the UNG Tennis Complex is set for noon.
