Game Preview: The University of North Georgia men's basketball team will wrap up the regular season this week as they take on Lander and Georgia Southwestern.

Last Week: The Nighthawks split their two games last week, falling to Clayton State on the road before downing Georgia College in overtime at home to keep their postseason aspirations alive.
Scouting Lander: Lander is 11-15 on the year and 10-10 in league action. The Bearcats downed North Georgia in overtime back in January, 107-104.
Scouting Georgia Southwestern: Georgia Southwestern is 4-22 overall and 2-18 in league play this year going into a Wednesday night home game against Clayton State. The Nighthawks won a 92-89 thriller back at the beginning of February inside the UNG Convocation Center.
PBC Individual Stats: Shawn Hopkins is seventh in the league with 16.5 points per game, while Jack Howard leads the PBC in three-point shooting with 47.9 percent.
PBC Team Stats: North Georgia has pulled down the second-most rebounds in the league, snagging 40.4 boards per game.
Peach Belt Tournament Scenarios: UNG still is in the hunt for the eighth spot in the upcoming Peach Belt Tournament, needing to win out and Columbus State to lose out to clinch the final spot. Columbus State has Flagler at home and Clayton State on the road remaining.
Chris Faulkner Named New Athletics Development Officer: Head coach Chris Faulkner will finish out the 2018-19 season before stepping down from the position to accept the role as the new Athletics Development Officer for UNG later this semester. As the new athletics development officer, Faulkner will be responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting donors and prospective donors for charitable financial support of Nighthawk athletics through gifts (major, capital and planned), grants and corporate sponsorships. Faulkner will also provide oversight of the daily operations of the Nighthawks Athletic Club, the annual giving fundraising arm of UNG athletics.
