Game Preview: The University of North Georgia women's basketball team returns home for all three games this week, including a back-to-back against Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke Saturday and Sunday inside the UNG Convocation Center.

Last Week: North Georgia fell in both games last week, first in a 10-point loss to Columbus State before falling at No. 4 USC Aiken by 17 Saturday afternoon.
Scouting Young Harris: Young Harris is 10-12 on the year and 8-8 in league action. The Mountain Lions have lost two straight games by six points or less. YHC defeated UNG, 128-91, earlier this season when the Nighthawks played north of Blood Mountain. Young Harris leads the all-time series, 11-6, against the Nighthawks, including winning six of the last eight matchups. UNG is 4-4 in Dahlonega against the Mountain Lions.
Scouting Francis Marion: Francis Marion is in the midst of a three-game winning streak headed into a Wednesday matchup with Lander at home. The Patriots beat North Georgia back in December to open Peach Belt Conference play, 82-79. North Georgia still holds an 11-9 advantage in the all-time series despite losing five of the last six and four straight in the series. The Nighthawks hold a 6-3 lead in games played in Dahlonega.
Scouting UNC Pembroke: UNC Pembroke is 17-4 on the year and 12-3 in league play prior to matchups with Augusta and Young Harris before Sunday's matinee. The Braves, then ranked No. 25, defeated the Nighthawks, 86-77, at UNCP back in the first game of 2019. UNCP leads the all-time series, 11-9, over the Nighthawks and are currently on a seven-game winning streak in the series. UNG has a 5-4 advantage in home games, but have lost two straight.
PBC Individual Stats: Shawn Hopkins is sixth in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring, averaging 17.0 points per game. Lanre Olatunji is in rebounding with 6.7 boards per outing.
PBC Team Stats: North Georgia is second in the league in rebounding, pulling down 40.7 boards per game. The Nighthawks have the third best rebounding margin as well, pulling down 3.9 boards more than their opponents per game.
