PEMBROKE, N.C. - Julianne Sutton finished with a game-high 21 points as the No. 12 University of North Georgia women's basketball team closed out 2019 with a 59-45 win on the road at UNC Pembroke Saturday afternoon.
Abbie Franklin got things started with an opening possession three pointer, but the Braves would score the next five to take their only lead of the contest. From there, North Georgia went on a 13-0 run spanning the majority of the first quarter to put a sizable margin on the scoreboard.
The Nighthawk lead would get up to as many as 16 in the fourth quarter after the Braves cut the lead down to as few as six in the third before UNG pulled away for the win.
