CENTRAL, S.C. - Southern Wesleyan went on a 10-0 run that ended regulation and started overtime as the Warriors went on to beat the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 87-81, Saturday.
North Georgia got out to an 11-point lead in the first half, but the Warriors cut the lead down to five early in the second half. The Nighthawks responded with a 10-2 run to stretch the lead back to double digits.
SWU clawed back into the game, bringing the lead down to four with three minutes to play before starting their run that ended the second half and began overtime. North Georgia never got closer than three points in the extra period.

Zach Brown led North Georgia in the scoring column with 20 points on 9-of-10 from the floor.
Zez Steeple and
Bailey Minor also finished with double-digit performances, getting 16 and 12, respectively.
- North Georgia shot 54 percent from the floor, but only 7-for-26 from three-point range.
- Southern Wesleyan got to the free throw line 30 times, making 20 of them.
