DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia men's tennis team came from behind to beat Emmanuel Wednesday afternoon, 5-2, at the UNG Tennis Complex.
After dropping two of the three doubles matches and losing the point, the Nighthawks stormed back in singles play, winning the first five matches on the courts.
Tim Kiehl got the match back to a 1-1 tie with a quick 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4 before
Zack Waldow gave North Georgia the lead for good with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 3.
The match of the day came at No. 2 singles where
Mark Laishley came from behind in the second set to force a tiebreak, winning 8-6 in the extra game to clinch the match for UNG with a 6-3, 7-6 (6) win.
The Nighthawks have now completed the fall schedule and will be back in action in February.
