Scoring Woes Hurt No. 10 Women's Basketball in Loss to UNCP

PEMBROKE, N.C. - A five-point fourth quarter, coupled with clutch shooting by UNC Pembroke, caused the No. 10 University of North Georgia women's basketball team to fall to the Braves, 53-44, Saturday afternoon in the first game of 2019.

Despite leading by nine headed into the final quarter, the Nighthawks couldn't get things going in the fourth, going scoreless over the final 4:44, while UNC Pembroke finished the game on a 13-0 run.

NOTES
- The 44 points scored is the lowest point total for North Georgia since scoring 44 in a loss to Clayton State on January 3, 2012.

- Amber Skidgel led all scorers with 15 points and was the only Nighthawk in double figures.

- UNG was held to a season-low 27.8 percent (15-for-54) from the floor.
