DAHLONEGA – After reaching the Peach Belt Conference championship game a year ago, head University of North Georgia men's soccer coach Pat Parris has released the 2018 men's soccer schedule that includes seven home matches and six opponents that made the NCAA tournament a year ago.
The season starts off with three matches away from home, all against NCAA South Regional teams from a year ago. The Nighthawks will open play on August 31 against Palm Beach Atlantic before heading over to Boca Raton, Florida, to match up with Lynn. North Georgia will then take on Tampa at Clayton State on September 6.
UNG opens a four-game homestand on September 8 against Anderson before battling Southern Wesleyan (Sept. 12), Montevallo (Sept. 15) and Emmanuel (Sept. 19) at the UNG Soccer Complex. The Nighthawks then open PBC play at Flagler on September 22.
After a quick home match against Clayton State on September 29, North Georgia starts a four-match road trip with North Greenville on October 2. The Nighthawks will take on Francis Marion (Oct. 6), Lincoln Memorial (Oct. 10) and Lander (Oct. 13) before returning home for the final two home matches of 2018.
USC Aiken comes to Dahlonega on October 20 before the Battle of Blood Mountain matchup against Young Harris closes the 2018 home schedule on October 24. The Nighthawks will wrap up the regular season on the road at Georgia Southwestern on October 27.
