YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The No. 28 University of North Georgia women's tennis team didn't give up many points Saturday to Mount Olive as they coasted to a 9-0 win over the Trojans in a neutral site matchup at Young Harris. The Nighthawks have won five straight matches, improving to 12-3.
Cibeles Zuddy and
Adrienne Bofinger set the tone in the first match of the day, winning, 8-0, at No. 3 doubles. The other two doubles matches followed closely behind with UNG winning, 8-2 and 8-4.
The first four singles matches went the way of North Georgia as well as the Nighthawks gave up just three games across the four competitions.
Felicia Baratta and Laura Ven Der Hage won their matches as well, winning easily in straight sets.
The Nighthawks will jump back on the court to start a three-game homestand with a Wednesday matchup against Georgia College. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the UNG Tennis Complex.
