ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Conner Corbitt hit a ninth-inning homer, but it was not enough as Flagler earned a Peach Belt Conference sweep over the No. 23 University of North Georgia baseball team Sunday afternoon.
The Saints got on the board first on a RBI single in the second, but
Cade Heil answered with his first collegiate homer in the top of the third, a solo shot to right field to tie the game at 1-1.
Flagler responded with three runs off three RBI singles and then got their fifth run of the day walked in during the seventh inning. Corbitt's solo shot in the ninth cut the lead to three, but the Nighthawks were unable to earn another base runner in the final frame.
NOTES
- North Georgia falls to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in Peach Belt play.
- Corbitt finished 3-for-4 at the plate, while
Crews Taylor notched a 2-for-4 day in the leadoff role.

Derrick Pickvet was tabbed with the loss after his 5.2 inning day. He gave up four runs while striking out five.
