FLORENCE, S.C. - Bennett Fuzak hit four three pointers, but the University of North Georgia ran into a hot-shooting Francis Marion side and fell on the road to the Patriots, 90-54, Saturday afternoon at FMU's Smith University Center.
The Patriots led the entire game after hitting a shot on their first possession of the night. The Nighthawks pulled to within 12 multiple times in the first half, but FMU pulled away to lead by 24 at halftime and never let the lead drop below 20 in the second half.
NOTES
- FMU shot nearly 55 percent (35-of-64) from the field, including 9-of-22 from three-point range. North Georgia was just 19-of-59 from the floor.
- Fuzak finished with 12 points to lead UNG in the game, while
Ebo Smith finished with 10. FMU's Victor Hunt led the Patriots with 17 points off the bench.
- Nine of the Nighthawks' made field goals were three pointers.
