PEMBROKE, N.C. - A 63-point first half was all UNC Pembroke needed to build a big enough gap to go past the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 101-68, Sunday afternoon at UNCP's Lumbee Bank Court.
The Braves shot 27-of-37 (73 percent) from the field in the first half to build a 37-point lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Nighthawks outscored UNC Pembroke, 42-38, behind an 11-point half by
Bennett Fuzak and 10 points from
Ephraim Tshimanga.
NOTES
- UNC Pembroke eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season with the win. Akia Pruitt led five Braves in double figures with a game-high 22 points.
- North Georgia shot 10-of-30 from behind the arc.
- The Braves now lead the all-time series, 10-9.

The Nighthawks will play in the final game in Memorial Hall as they take on Clayton State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The game will also serve as Spirit Night in Dahlonega.
