DAHLONEGA - Zez Steeple led all scorers with 24 points, but the University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell to Flagler Monday afternoon, 95-84, in the UNG Convocation Center.
The Nighthawks trailed by eight points at halftime, but came out and scored the first nine points of the second half to take a one point lead. Later in the half, with the score tied at 62, the Saints went on a 24-3 run over the span of six minutes to stretch the lead out to 21.
North Georgia clawed back to cut the lead to single digits, but Flagler put free throws on the scoreboard in the final seconds to put the game to its final score.

Shawn Hopkins and 
Ephraim Tshimanga also finished in double figures, scoring 16 and 14 points, respectively. Five Flagler players also finished with double digit point totals, led by Damerit Brown's 17 points off the bench.
- North Georgia had just six second chance points on six offensive rebounds. The Nighthawks had averaged nearly 14 second chance points per game coming into the matchup.
- Flagler shot over 55 percent from the floor, their best shooting performance of the season.
