No. 21 Women's Soccer Downs Bearcats, 4-1, on Senior Day

DAHLONEGA - After a Lander goal just two minutes into the match, the No. 21 University of North Georgia women's soccer team scored the last four goals en route to a 4-1 win on Senior Day at the UNG Soccer Complex.

Lander's Juliette Vidal got the Bearcats on the board first in the third minute, but the Nighthawks struck back in the 22nd minute with a Meredith Tucker goal to tie the match up, 1-1, headed to halftime.

North Georgia scored their final three goals within a span of 12 minutes, starting with a goal from Taylor Malasek in the 55th minute. Three minutes later, Dani Shartouny took a pass from Renee VanHorn and pushed the Nighthawk lead to two goals. In the 67th minute, VanHorn found a goal of her own to bring the match to its final score.
