Lynn Deals Two-Hit Shutout to Clinch Series Win Over Nighthawks

DAHLONEGA, Ga. — The 27th-ranked University of North Georgia baseball team could never get the bats going on a rainy Saturday evening in Dahlonega, falling to Lynn, 8-0. The Nighthawks slip to 6-3 on the season after the defeat.

The Fighting Knights scored an unearned run in the second followed by a pair of runs in the third. Lynn once again saw some late inning offensive production, this time putting the game away in the closing innings with a two-run homer by Jonathon Corbitt in the seventh and a solo shot by Patrick Dorian in the ninth to claim the 8-0 win.

NOTES
- The lone two Nighthawk hits both came off the bat of Michael Gouge who went 2-for-4 on the night.

- Steven Bower (1-1) was tagged with the loss giving up four runs, three earned, on eight hits and three walks. Bower struck out three in his 4.2 innings of work.

- The Nighthawks are now 0-3 all-time against Lynn and will look for their first win in tomorrow's series finale.
