Men's Basketball Comeback Falls Just Short in 80-74 Loss to UNCP

DAHLONEGA - Tyler Dominy finished with a season-high 24 points, but the University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell short against UNC Pembroke, 80-74, Saturday afternoon in Memorial Hall. The Nighthawks are now 3-7 overall.

Trailing 59-40 with 14:41 to play, the Nighthawks clawed back, going on a 30-13 run over the next 12 minutes to cut the lead to just two, 72-70. The Braves hit the next two baskets, however, to pull away and hold on for the road win.

NOTES
- Dominy's 24 came off the bench as part of UNG's 31-25 advantage off the bench. Shaquan Cantrell added 21 points to the cause, 18 of which came during the big Nighthawk run to cut the lead to two.

- Lanre Olatunji earned his first double-double of his career, finishing with a career-high 10 points and 10 rebounds.

- The Braves tie the all-time series with North Georgia with the win, 9-9.
