Tshimanga Leads Men's Basketball Past Saints

DAHLONEGA - Ephraim Tshimanga had a career-high 34 points to lead the University of North Georgia men's basketball team past Limestone, 86-73, Tuesday night in Memorial Hall. The Nighthawks improve to 2-2 on the season.

After leading by one at halftime, the Nighthawks quickly fell down by five to Limestone before mounting a 10-0 run to lead by five. From there, UNG never trailed on the way to the 13-point win.

NOTES
- Tshimanga's 34-point performance is 10 points better than his previous career high, set against Georgia Southwestern last year. The sophomore also put his name in the record book with 15 made field goals, good for second in the NCAA-era for a single game.

- Shaquan Cantrell notched 21 points, bringing him to within 20 points of tying the NCAA-era record for points scored in a career. Tyler Dominy added 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.

- The Nighthawks shot 53 percent from the field and had a season-low seven turnovers in the win.

The Nighthawks will travel to take on Regis University in Denver, Colorado, on Friday, November 24, as part of the Hilton Garden Inn Denver Cherry Creek Classic. Tip off is set for 9 p.m. EST.
