Nighthawks Drop Regular-Season Finale At Georgia Southwestern, 66-63

AMERICUS, Ga. | Jordan Livesay collected her second double-double of the season with a game-high 18 points paired with 10 rebounds, but the University of North Georgia women's basketball team capped the regular season with a 66-63 Peach Belt Conference loss to Georgia Southwestern on Wednesday evening in GSW's Storm Dome.

After a basket from Kelsey Hutchins to open the third quarter tied the game at 28 apiece, the Hurricanes would use a 9-0 run to grab their largest lead of the game, 37-28, capped by a jumper from Ja'Quasha Sesler.

An old-fashioned 3-point play by Jordan Livesay at the 7:55 mark of the fourth quarter gave the Nighthawks their first lead since the midway point of the second quarter.

Trailing by six (63-27) with 2:34 to play, Kaylee Akin scored six unanswered points to even the game at 63 all with 41 seconds to play, but a layup by Yvonna Dunkley followed by a Nighthawk turnover sealed the victory for Georgia Southwestern.

North Georgia finishes the regular season with a 17-11 overall mark and a 9-10 PBC record while GSW caps their season with an even 13-13 ledger and 7-12 conference mark.
