Dominy's Double-Double Pushes Nighthawks To Road Win at Belmont Abbey, 85-79

BELMONT, N.C. – Fueled by a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds from Tyler Dominy, the University of North Georgia men's basketball team snapped a three-game slide with an 85-79 non-conference road win at Belmont Abbey on Saturday afternoon. The Nighthawks exploded for 55 second half points to improve to 3-4 overall on the season.

After trailing by three at the break, 33-30, the Nighthawks connected on half of its shots after intermission to push out to a 17-point lead following a pair of free throws from Shaquan Cantrell with 4:45 remaining.

BAC would rally late to get within four (83-79), but two more free throws from Ebo Smith would seal the victory.

Denzell Hosch and Cantrell added 15 points apiece for UNG, while Ross Morkem and Smith pitched in with 13 points and 11 respectively to give the Nighthawks five players in double figures.

NOTES
- Jacob Wilson and Deion Lane led three Crusaders (3-4) in double figures with 15 points apiece.  Lane completed the double-double with 10 rebounds.

- Morkem's 13 points marked a new career high for the freshman forward from Suwanee.

- Hosch made good on 5-of-9 shots from behind the 3-point line, as all of his 15 points came from long distance.

- Dominy added a team-best four assists for North Georgia.

UNG travels to Cleveland, Tenn. on Tuesday, Dec. 6 to face off with Lee, with tipoff set for 7:30 for the non-conference tilt.
