Pfeiffer Rallies in Second Half To Down Nighthawks, 93-86

MIESENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer scored 67 second half points to rally and edge the University of North Georgia men's basketball team, 93-86, on the final day of the Conference Carolinas/Peach Belt Conference Challenge in PU's Merner Gym.

North Georgia led by as many as 21 points, but a furious second half rally by the Falcons erased the lead and gives the Nighthawks (1-1) their first setback of the season.

A pair of free throws from Denzell Hosch with 1:36 remaining gave North Georgia its final lead of the game, 84-82, but Pfeiffer closed the game with an 11-2 run to seal the come-from-behind win.

Shaquan Cantrell led five players in double figures with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor and added a team-best nine rebounds.

NOTES
- North Georgia was plagued by 33 turnovers, including 18 in the second half, of which the Falcons converted into 37 points on the other end.

- Andrew Guerrero and A.J. Clark combined to score 49 points for Pfeiffer (2-0).

- A 3-pointer by Roderick English game UNG its largest lead of 21 points in the first half as the Nighthawks would take a 43-26 lead into intermission.

- Dominy scored 12 of his 14 points in first twenty minutes.

- Sean Brennan missed a double-double by a single assist as he pitched in with 11 points and nine assists.
