Bobcats Snap UNG Women's Basketball Team's Winning Streak, 66-58

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Despite a game-high 22 points from Kelsey Hutchins, the University of North Georgia women's basketball team dropped a 66-58 Peach Belt Conference decision at Georgia College on Saturday afternoon in GC's Centennial Center.  Hutchins connected on 9-of-22 from the field and completed her second double-double of the year with 12 rebounds.

After trailing by as many as nine in the fourth quarter, the Nighthawks rallied to cut the GC lead to a single possession at 54-52, but the Bobcats would use a 7-0 run to secure their 11th victory of the season.

The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for UNG as the Nighthawks fall to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in the PBC.  Georgia College improves to 11-1, 3-0 PBC.  

NOTES
- After scoring just six first quarter points, the Bobcats found their offensive flow scoring 60 in the final three quarters.

- Cierra Jackson collected her seventh double-double of the year with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

- Lindsey Reed came off the bench to lead three Bobcats in double figures with 12 points, including a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe. 

- UNG's Jordan Livesay added nine points and seven rebounds for the Nighthawks.

- The victory is GC's 11th straight and ties the GC school record from the 2003-04 season.  The win is the Bobcats' third consecutive in the all-time series in which UNG now holds a 36-27 advantage.
