AUGUSTA, Ga. | With the conclusion of the 2014-15 basketball season on Wednesday evening, the Peach Belt Conference has released the tournament bracket for the upcoming 2015 Basketball Championship with the University of North Georgia women hosting a quarterfinal game against Armstrong State on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.
North Georgia finished the regular season with a 20-8 overall record and 12-7 league mark. The 20-win season is the second consecutive for the Nighthawks.
Armstrong compiled an even 13-13 record and an 11-8 mark in conference play after getting hot in the middle of the season winning as many as five straight games.
The two teams met on Dec. 20 with the host Pirates taking an 85-77 victory in Savannah. ASU scored 53 second half points to erase a four-point halftime deficit and end the Nighthawks' three-game winning streak.
