Men’s Basketball Falls at Georgia Southwestern, 77-57

AMERICUS, Ga. | The University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell to Georgia Southwestern, 77-57, Wednesday evening in Americus. The Nighthawks are now 14-8 on the year and 8-7 in Peach Belt Conference action.
 
UNG was never able to get into a rhythm offensively, shooting less than 30 percent from the field in the first half and just 35 percent on the game as a whole.
 
The Hurricanes led by 14 at the half and got their biggest lead at 27 (54-27), at the 12:14 mark of the second half.
 
Travis Core's 15 points off the bench led the Nighthawks, while T.J. Williams' seven rebounds was a team best for the night. Deric Rudolph posted a game-high 26 points for Georgia Southwestern.
 
The Nighthawks will look to rebound from the loss on Saturday, traveling to Milledgeville to take on Georgia College. Tipoff for the men's game is set for 3:30 p.m.
