DAHLONEGA | The University of North Georgia men's basketball team cut the lead to six twice in the second half but could not get any closer as Limestone defeated the Nighthawks 87-76 in Memorial Hall Monday night.

North Georgia trailed 79-73 with 1:11 left before Limestone went on an 8-3 run to close out the contest.

After trailing through the first five minutes, Limestone used a 12-0 run to take over the lead and never looked back.

STATS- Limestone's Shaq Dance had a game-high 32 points to go with 13 rebounds. He was 10-of-15 from the field and 12-of-13 from the free-throw line.

Tanner Plemmons led the Nighthawks with 12 points, all of which were from behind the three-point line.

Sean Brennan finished with 10 points and five assists, while
Juan Rivas had nine points and six rebounds off the bench.
