PENSACOLA, Florida | Four Nighthawks scored in double figures as the University of North Georgia men's basketball team held off Claflin, 75-70, on the final day of the University of West Florida Thanksgiving Classic. For the second straight night,
Corey Green led all scorers with a game-high 17 points as North Georgia improves to 5-1 on the season.
Green was six-of-10 from the field while pitching in with five rebounds and three assists.
Ebo Smith and
Travis Core each came off the bench to contribute with 12 points apiece, while
Sean Brennan added 10 points.
Patrell Rogers came off the bench for Claflin (2-3) to record a team-best 16 points.
The Nighthawks were the only team to win both games in the four-team classic-style event.
North Georgia will now take a two-week break before returning to the hardwood on December 13 at Limestone.
