The 2025-26 athletic year will mark the 35th year Denise Bryant has served at UNG. It is her 32nd year in Athletics and 21st as the the Director of Compliance for the Department of Athletics.
Bryant monitors all compliance of athletic and academic personnel in order to ensure that the university has institutional control of all athletic activities. This includes day-to-day responsibility for those aspects of the athletics operation most directly regulated by NCAA rules, including certification of initial and continuing eligibility, administration of financial aid to student-athletes, and recruitment. She oversees a comprehensive and continuing education program to ensure that university individuals are knowledgeable and continually updated on NCAA rules.Â

It is Bryant’s responsibility to ensure that all UNG coaches and student-athletes are aware of and in compliance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and standards.

She also serves as manager of the NCAA Eligibility Center, NCAA Transfer Portal and the National Letter of Intent programs working closely with the Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) on certification of eligibility and rules compliance issues.
Bryant has previously served North Georgia in numerous capacities: Department of Education, Health and Physical Education, Sports Information Director and Senior Woman Administrator.Â
