Austin Burnette is entering his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the men's basketball program.
Burnette comes to UNG following a three-year tenure as a player at Campbell University. At Campbell, Burnette competed in the College Insider Tournament (CIT), College Basketball Invitational (CBI) and the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Burnette also won a regular season conference championship in his senior season.
Prior to playing at Campbell, Burnette attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia, where he won a national championship with a 47-1 record. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Burnette graduated from Broughton High School.
