DAHLONEGA – No. 7 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golfer Camryn Wright has been named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Wright had a stellar outing at the LR/Dunes West Women's Intercollegiate last week, taking home the individual title at the tournament. The Bogart, Ga. native carded three identical rounds of 73 (+1) to secure a one-stroke victory and a first-place finish over a field of 96 golfers.
The standout performance from Wright guided North Georgia to a runner-up finish at the tournament, as the Nighthawks finished second out of seventeen teams.
This is the first Player of the Week honor of Wright's career.
Wright and the Nighthawks return to action March 9-10 at the Jerry Surratt Memorial in Monroe, N.C.
