DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia (UNG) softball player Sydnee Reaves has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after leading the Nighthawks to a perfect 5-0 record against Alabama Huntsville and USC Aiken.

Reaves led the offensive effort for North Georgia, posting a .500 batting average with a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage across the five games.

The senior totaled eight hits, including two doubles and four home runs, while driving in 12 runs and scoring six times during the week. Reaves homered in four of the five games, with her two doubles coming in the only contest in which she did not leave the yard.

On the season, Reaves leads the Peach Belt Conference in slugging percentage (.810), OPS (1.283), RBI (37), doubles (15), home runs (eight) and at-bats (100). She also ranks second in the league in runs scored (27) and hits (42).

North Georgia returns to action March 20 when the Nighthawks travel to Lander for a Peach Belt Conference series.
