DAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference office announced the 2026 PBC Women's Basketball Tournament bracket Sunday afternoon with the University of North Georgia (UNG) earning the third seed after finishing the regular season with an 18-12 overall record and 13-7 mark in league play.
Play begins on Wednesday, Mar. 4, with four quarterfinal games hosted on campus by the higher seed. The four winners from Wednesday will advance to the semifinals and finals held on Mar. 7 and 8, hosted by the highest remaining seed. The Nighthawks will host sixth-seeded Clayton State (11-16, 8-12 PBC) in the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center.
UNG finished the regular season tied for third with Augusta. The Nighthawks and Jaguars split the head-to-head results, so the tiebreak was determined by comparing each team's result versus the highest seed not involved in the tie. The Nighthawks won the tiebreak after going 1-1 against first-seeded Columbus State during the regular season, while Augusta dropped both games against the Cougars.
The winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup will advance to play the winner between the seventh-seeded Georgia College & State (12-16, 8-12 PBC) and second-seeded USC Beaufort (18-9, 15-5 PBC).
The Nighthawks are seeking their sixth PBC Tournament title in program history and the fourth in the last six years.
