DAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference office announced the 2026 PBC Men's Basketball Tournament bracket Sunday evening with the University of North Georgia (UNG) earning the third seed after finishing the regular season with a 20-6 overall record and 14-6 mark in league play.
Play begins on Wednesday, Mar. 4, with four quarterfinal games hosted on campus by the higher seed. The four winners from Wednesday will advance to the semifinals and finals held on Mar. 7 and 8, hosted by the highest remaining seed. The Nighthawks will host sixth-seeded Georgia College & State (16-12, 11-9, PBC) in the quarterfinal round of the conference tournament on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center.
The Nighthawks went 2-0 against the Bobcats in the regular season, including a thrilling 80-79 win on Feb. 18 in Milledgeville. They sealed the victory with four free throws in the final second of the game.
The winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal matchup will advance to play the winner between the seventh-seeded Georgia Southwestern (16-12, 9-11, PBC) and second-seeded Columbus State (21-7, 15-5, PBC).
The Nighthawks are seeking their second PBC Tournament title in program history.
