DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's basketball player Averie Jones was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after guiding the Nighthawks to a perfect 3-0 week.
Jones averaged 19.7 points per game while helping UNG secure victories over Clayton State, USC Aiken and Lander. She currently leads the Peach Belt Conference in scoring (16.7 points per game), 3-point field goals made per game (2.9) and 3-point percentage (.449).
Jones opened the week with a 24-point performance in an 86-80 win over Clayton State, adding six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
She followed with 19Â points, nine rebounds, five assists and a block in a dominant 76-50 victory over USC Aiken.
Jones capped the week with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 79-57 win over Lander, showcasing her all-around impact in all three contests.
North Georgia's unbeaten week was fueled by Jones' consistent scoring and leadership as the Nighthawks continued to build momentum in Peach Belt Conference play.
