DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's basketball player AJ White was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after leading the Nighthawks to a perfect 3-0 record over the past week.
White averaged 26.0 points per game while helping UNG secure wins over Clayton State, USC Aiken and Lander. He currently leads the Peach Belt Conference in scoring at 20.3 points per game.
The senior opened the week with a standout night against Clayton State, pouring in 35 points to go along with four assists, two rebounds and two steals in an 84-78 victory.
White followed with a strong second-half performance in a 78-64 win over USC Aiken, scoring all 19 of his points after halftime while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal.
He capped the week with 24 points, two rebounds and an assist in another 76-72Â victory, this time over Lander, continuing his consistent offensive production.
North Georgia's three wins extended its momentum in Peach Belt Conference play, with White's scoring leadership playing a key role in each contest.
