Brumby Earns Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week Honors

DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia (UNG) softball player Marycille Brumby has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after leading the Nighthawks to a perfect 5-0 record against Lee and Catawba.

Brumby paced North Georgia's offense with a .625 batting average, a 1.313 slugging percentage and a .684 on-base percentage during the week. She recorded 10 hits, including two doubles and three home runs, while driving in 11 runs and scoring five times.

The senior continues to rank among the conference's top offensive performers this season. Brumby leads the Peach Belt Conference in slugging percentage (1.083), on-base plus slugging percentage (1.644) and home runs (6). She also ranks fourth in batting average (.500), fifth in RBIs (17), and sixth in both on-base percentage (.561) and hits (18).

North Georgia returns to action Feb. 28 with a doubleheader at Young Harris.
