DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia (UNG) softball player Chloe Poss was named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week after guiding the Nighthawks to a perfect 4-0 weekend at the Gold City Classic.

Poss went 2-0 over the weekend, logging 10.2 innings while allowing just four runs and striking out 17 batters. She opened the weekend with five scoreless innings on Feb. 13, surrendering only three hits and fanning eight in a win over Barry.

The following day, Poss followed with another victory, working 5.2 innings and recording nine strikeouts.

Across both outings, Poss held Barry to a limited offensive output while consistently working ahead in counts, facing 43 total batters and throwing 184 pitches. Her performance anchored the pitching staff and played a key role in securing both wins.
