DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's basketball guard
AJ White has advanced to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List by Small College Basketball the organization announced Sunday.
The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. The award encompasses players from Division II, Division III, the NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA.
The is White's first season being named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List. So far this year, White leads UNG at 20.5 points per game, 3.5 assists per game, three-pointers made, field goals made and minutes played.
White currently leads the Pech Belt Conference in points per game (20.5), while ranking second in total points (451) and free throw percentage (88.4%) this season.
In North Georgia's win over Middle Georgia on Feb. 14, White joined the 2,000 points club and is part of the winningest trio over a four-year stretch in program history alongside
Colin Turner and
Chase Champion.
Small College Basketball will announce the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List on Feb. 15.
White is the first North Georgia men's basketball named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List since Frank Champion, who earned the honor in 2023 and 2024.
