North Georgia Women's Golf Unveils 2025 Fall Schedule

8/5/2025 3:03:00 PM

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's golf team has released its schedule for the fall portion of the 2025-26 season.

After making the program's first appearance in the NCAA South Regional last season and just barely missing out on a berth in the National Championship after a regional playoff, the Nighthawks are back with a vengeance this season.

UNG will begin the year in Cleveland, Tenn. at Cleveland Country Club for The City With Spirit Fall Classic. Last year the Nighthawks finished in fourth place out of 18 teams in the same event. This season's tournament, hosted by Lee University Sep. 15-16, will serve as an NCAA South Regional preview.

A week later UNG will travel to the Lone Star State and Oakmont Country Club for the DBU Classic hosted by Dallas Baptist. The three-day tournament in Denton, Texas takes place Sep. 21-23 and will serve as the Nighthawks' first trip back to Texas and the DBU Classic since 2022.

"We are very excited to play an elite schedule this fall starting off with the regional preview for the deepest region in the country and following that up with two national events outside of our region," said head coach Sierra Campbell.

UNG will then host the 12th Annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega. The marquee event hosted in loving memory of the late LeeAnn Noble, a former member of the UNG women's golf team that passed away in 2014, will begin on Monday, Oct. 13. Last season, the Nighthawks broke numerous records at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial including the program's 18- and 54-hole scoring records en route to a second place finish ahead of six of the nation's top 25 teams.

"We take so much pride in getting to honor LeeAnn every year with this special event. We're additionally proud that this tournament has grown to an elite level with a number of the top teams in the country coming to compete in Dahlonega," said Campbell.

As was the case last season, the fall campaign ends in Farmington, Penn. at the Nemacolin Resort for the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin hosted by Findlay. UNG finished in third place at last season's event. This year's tournament takes place Oct. 20-21.

After ascending to No. 11 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) poll last season for the highest ranking in program history, the Nighthawks are now just days away from another historic season. With numerous record-breaking performances and program accomplishments last year, UNG is ready to make a splash in the college golf landscape once again.
