AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference has selected University of North Georgia men's basketball player AJ White as the league's men's basketball Player of the Week as announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office.
 
White led the (RV) Nighthawks to a 2-0 weekend by averaging 26.5 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds at the Southeast Region Crossover with wins over No. 14 Lincoln Memorial and host Young Harris. In the overtime win over LMU, White erupted for a career-best 37 points before scoring 16 in the win over the Mountain Lions. He was the Nighthawks' leading scorer in both games.
  
North Georgia will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 19 with the team's home opener against Francis Marion at 7:00 p.m. in Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center.
