DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's soccer Player
Jorge Sandoval has been named the Peach Belt Conference's Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Sandoval notched two goals and two assists on the week to lead the No. 22 Nighthawks to a pair of conference victories.
He scored twice and added an assist in a midweek road win at Middle Georgia before adding a an assist in a home win over Georgia Southwestern.
Through 13 games, his team-best 14 points (four goals and six assists) ranks fourth in the league.
The Player of the Week honor is the first of the season for Sandoval who was tabbed a PBC preseason All-Conference selection at the start of the season.
Sandoval and the rest of the Nighthawks are back in action this week on the road. On Wednesday, Oct. 15 the team will travel to USC Aiken for a 7:00 p.m. Peach Belt Conference matchup.
