STATESBORO, Ga. – The No. 17 University of North Georgia rifle team came up on the short end of a 4697-4599 decision at No. 5 Georgia Southern in the team's final regular season contest on Saturday at GSU's Shooting Sports Education Center.
 
Maya Cameron finished third in smallbore with a score of 581 while Alysa Yancey (566) and Madison Kennedy (563) each posted top-10 finishes in the discipline with ninth and tenth place finishes respectively.
 
In air rifle, Jaden Ann Fraser (590), Maya Cameron (583), Yancy (580) and Madison Kennedy (579) finished in the eighth through 11^th spots.
 
Cameron was the top aggregate finisher in seventh place with an 1164.

North Georgia will travel to Charleston, S.C. on March 2-3 for the Southern Conference Championships.
