DAHLONEGA – Their sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance continued an elite stretch for the University of North Georgia women's basketball team. The Nighthawks look to continue to build on that success, signing five players in the 2023 class.
The class features three incoming high school prospects while adding some experience and depth, bringing in three transfer players as UNG looks to add another banner to the rafters of Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center in 2024.

Ava McGlockton
A 6-1 forward from South Forsyth High School, McGlockton was named as an All-State honoree this past season reaching the 1,000 point mark early in her senior season, becoming the eighth player to reach that mark for South Forsyth women's basketball.
Lexi Pierce
The hometown kid hailing from Lumpkin County High School, the local product is no stranger to winning, making three trips to the final four and two trips to the state championship game, winning it all in 2022.
Kendall Emener
Emener is a 6-1 incoming freshman from First Presbyterian Day, the Macon, Ga. product is the school's all time scoring leader, averaging 14.8 points per game heading into her senior season, Emener averaged 8.8 rebounds per game in her first three seasons at the varsity level.
Emily Trushel
A transfer from PBC member USC Aiken joins the Nighthawks after emerging as one of the best players in the conference last season, leading the Pacers to an NCAA Tournament appearance. Trushel was second team All-Region and first team All-Conference, leading NCAA Division II in free throw percentage (93.5).
Ansley Hall
Hall comes to Dahlonega by way of Tennessee Tech, playing in 14 games in her freshman campaign for the Eagles. The Watkinsville, Ga. native was a four-sport athlete at North Oconee High, earning all-state selections from the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association, as well as all-region selections and was the Region 5A Player of the Year as a sophomore. Hall played soccer and softball, while also running cross country.
