DALTON, Ga. – Four University of North Georgia men's golfers finished in the top 11 spots at the North Georgia Invitational at Dalton Country Club.
Ethan Day and
Will Chambless highlighted an exciting finish in the final round, both jockeying for the event's top spot, representing the Nighthawks on a successful day on the course in the summer amateur event.
Day finished with the individual medal, grabbing the title after a scorching 67 in the final round, finishing at four-under-par overall.
Will Chambless finished just one stroke behind Day, grabbing the second-place spot with a three-under-par scorecard.
Connor Horton and
Garrett Horton both added solid performances of their own, with Connor taking a ninth-place finish in the tournament, followed by Garrett, who earned an 11th-place finish.
The North Georgia Invitational is an amateur event, first started in 1949, the 36-hole event features amateur golfers from around the country.
