This Week in Nighthawk Athletics: April 24th

DAHLONEGA - The University of North Georgia will host Peach Belt Conference tournament games and four home baseball games this week. This season's weekly preview is presented by Northeast Georgia Health System, the official healthcare partner of UNG Nighthawk Athletics. Single game and season tickets are available for all home basketball, baseball and softball games. All home events will be broadcast live courtesy of the Nighthawk Sports Network.

Baseball (25-21, 13-14)
The Nighthawks will host four games this week, beginning with a midweek matchup against top-ranked North Greenville at Bob Stein Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park on Wednesday (Apr. 26) at 5:00 p.m. before wrapping up the regular season schedule with a three-game PBC weekend series at home against Claflin.
North Georgia faced NGU on the road last Tuesday (Apr. 18), falling 7-3 to the defending national champions.
Following the NGU game, the Nighthawks play in their final Peach Belt Conference series of the season, hosting Claflin for a three-game series beginning on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
#2 Softball (48-5, 24-3 PBC)
After clinching a share of the regular season Peach Belt Conference title, the Nighthawks will host one of the two four-team double-elimination pods on Apr. 28-31 as the #2 seed, with the winner of the pod moving on from the first weekend for a best-of-3 championship series hosted by the higher seed of the two advancing teams on May 5-6.
The Nighthawks will look to win their ninth straight PBC Tournament title and 12th overall.
